Hi all, back again with another update. Couple new features I'm going to break down here.

Character abilities

Each character will receive a unique ability and play style as development goes on and Quill is the first. While playing as him, you have to watch your heat meter. Playing too many cards will cause you to take damage and overheat. But Quill also has a number of unique cards that will let you either reduce your heat or take advantage of it getting too high.

Mid bosses and Gems

There's also now 4 new mid bosses to face before reaching the final boss. This varies up gameplay a little bit, but it's also a chance to reward players with items throughout their run. One of those items is gems. Defeating any boss will reward you with gems. Currently these don't have a purpose, but in the future they will be used to unlock new characters and features. But for now all characters will be unlocked for free so you can test them out.

New items

There's also a raft of new items and some old items with new abilities. The old items weren't very interesting and were mainly all a variants of one effect. These new items should offer more variety, support certain styles of gameplay and give you more reasons to collects coins and visit the shop keeper.
